The car seat protector from Prince Lionheart is the best. I attached a link below to Babies R Us where I purchased it. This is by far the best seat protector. It uses a semi hard seat surface that protects the seat bottom from being dimpled by the child seat, has openings for latch, has raised side on the seat bottom for bottle drippings or spills, a kick plate to prevent scuffing from shoes, and a semi hard seat back pad.

I have this in both of my cars and use it for both todler car seat and booster seat. Does not interfere with seat belt fastening. Provides awesome protection for the precious leather in the E60...absolutely, highly recommended!

Find the seat here:

i have this product... and its the best.... no indentations at all... this is your best bet..ericd

I just went out and bought a "neatseat" from Mothercare. Its like a ruber matt that fits underneath the car seat. Fits like a charm and the car seat doesn't dig into the leather anymore.

It's not the kid taxi, but I do love taking my baby boy to Amoeba records or the grocery store and don't want to mess up my fine Dakota interior.
Believe me - I'm with you on taking my son places - he loves going everywhere - we just try to do it in Mommy's RX 330. I have one on the Lionheart Seat protectors but didn;t think it worked too well. I am going to retry it with the nice things said here.

My wife came home from Target with a pretty snazzy-looking Eddie Bauer pad that unfortunately doesn't reach high enough up the backrest to protect that part of the seat, which renders it useless. Anyone thinking of the Eddie Bauer should keep this in mind.

Thanks everyone for the great tips. And thanks, Ray, for the awesome picture.

Green-Crayon, my son also spends most travel time in my wife's RX 300 (best car for tots!) but sometimes I need to be with ALL my loved ones simultaneously.
