Seat Problems

Hi everyone. I have a couple of seat issues in my 04 545i. First on both the driver and passenger seats, the front edge, where the leather should tuck underneath the bottom edge, has come loose. I can stick my hand between the leather and the seat structure. It seems like there should be a method of securing that to the bottom front of the seat so that it lies flat against the seat structure. I have comfort seats.
Secondly, the passenger seat moves back and forward fine, but it won't move up and down. Is that most likely a motor issue? Is it DIY-able?? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I got the first issue resolved....looks brand new now. On the non-mpvement issue, I am still stuck. The fuse is good. I believe it may be the motor that drives the lowering screw. Would still appreciate any feedback anyone has. Thanks.
