Which seals do you change when replacing clutch?

Default Which seals do you change when replacing clutch?

Im replacing the clutch and pressure plate in my 2006 550i.I want to change all seals same time. Been searching and cant find the seals on realoem.com. My vin# is cn93131. Can anyone point me towards them on realoem?

whenever I changed a clutch in my E30 or any other older BMW, I always did a rear main seal and pilot bearing. I suppose you could change out the input and output shaft seal on the gearbox too, as long as it's fairly easy to remove.

rear main seal looks like #7 in this one:

input and output shaft seals for the gearbox look to be n this one:

RealOEM.com * BMW E60 550i GS6-53BZ/DZ grbx housing & mount. parts

At a minimum I'd do the rear main seal on the motor. I replace flywheel bolts too, and any other fasteners BMW claims are 'one time use'. Beyond that, it's all about how far you want to take things and whether or not you find any additional failed seals. Every car is different.
