i'm saying not to add these solvents to your engine oil. adding cleaners and whatnot to your fuel normally shouldnt cause any harm.

I've been using Techron fuel injector cleaner forever on all my previous cars including 3 other BMW's and none did not encounter any problem in the past. Hopefully this one will not have any problem either.

You won't run in to problems if the engine has been properly maintained with regular maintenance and periodically adding Techron (or other products). You will run in to problems if you try to clean the engine with 100K miles with no maintenance done. All the sludge that was built-up is suddenly dislodged and can wreak havoc. This is true for transmissions as well.

Where the heck is the vacuum line you use? I gave up and put the can I bought for the intake in the gas tank...

I haven't seafoamed the 5er yet, but on all of my other vehicles, I found the easiest way is to use a vacuum line from the brake booster.

Yeah, I couldn't break that one loose. I was hoping you had an alternative. Thanks.

if you have a v8, that wont work, as the seafoam will go to the vacuum pump and into your crankcase and oil.
