Well personally..My take on seafoam, is that it actually works. I doubt though that I would risk it in my bmw. Ive also heard different stories about it on other forumns. About two years ago I was trying to get a acura integra to pass emissions and it wouldnt until I used two bottles of seafoam back to back. Nothing went wrong with the car it ran way better after. Would I used it on the BMW...I really doubt it. Just my thoughts

Please keep us updated a week from now. The reason why is sometimes anything new you do to your car will have that "it does make a difference" in your mind subconsciously. That happened to me when I first added the Techron fuel injector cleaner and now I'm addicted to it.

never put seafoam or any other solvents in your engine oil, unless you want a future engine failure.

Can you qualify your statement and be more clear as to the possibility of engine failure? I have been using seafoam in my wifes E46 for 11 years and 180K miles. In the gas tank (every 1k miles), the oil (100 miles before a change), and thru the vacuum line (every 8 months or so). Haven't had an engine or fuel related issue yet.

There is no question that it drives and accelerates way better. If for some odd reason it is mental, the $9 would be worth it.

watch this for some info. the flush can loosen deposits and plug up oil pickups and oil passage ways.

there's statements on there from car manufacturers stating not to do engine flushes.

These type of flushes and fuel injection cleanings are different than pouring the chevron/techron into fuel though right? Never heard of someones engine breaking down after using the bottled injection cleaners.
