it felt a little weak cranking and sounded a bit rough on startup. the other thing i noticed, the driveshaft clunked slightly when engaging from reverse to drive.
bald tires and being out of warranty.
what do you think?

Looks to be like a very good deal for an 07 550i.
I'd just factor in 2K to 3.5K for a good after market warranty. Your getting great price on the car the way it is so the extra few K is will spent. Trust me if your going to keep the car for the next 3 to 4 years you will use the warranty at least once or twice. One repair can easily pay for the warranty. These cars are not cheap to fix ever.
Willing to bet that is the cheapest 07 550I for sale in the country. Which should tell you one thing.............get it looked at a dealership before you buy it. If things check out good I say go for it with an extended warranty.

sounds like a reason for why its so cheap.dont listen to people saying its worth 30k, thats insane. usually people lurking to buy their own so they would love to see 550s at 30k.

the dealer offered a warranty, but its one of those 4k max payout type of warranties.
just the rough starting, bald flat tires, and the fact he had NO gas in the car.....i was just kinda weary.
