Hi everyone

Did anyone with Sat Nav professional see this before?

This morning I had my Sat Nav Map with half the screen with the normal street view and the other half totally blank.

I tried changing between the different views (prespective / North oriented view / indicating direction of travel view) but the same problem remained. I took out my disk and reinserted it and I stopped & restarted the car to no avail

Any one?! I cannot live without a Sat Nav - totally dependent on it.

Thanks

If you are referring to the smaller section of your screen on the right hand side then you need to click on that with the idrive and choose what you want to display in that section! Computer, trip computer, sat nav etc etc

No, I am referring to the main screen. When the car moves into the blank area I still get a satellite fix and my car shows as the normal small blue triangle - But in the middle of no where (just blank)!!

hmm thats weird! It could be a faulty GPS receiver. Take it in to a stealer mate.

If it were the receiver it wouldn't continue to show the accurate position (which I read it still does).

Your DVD drive is not reading the disc well. Remove the disc and clean it and try a lens cleaner too.

Thank you I will try this, if not - then it's a trip to the stealer (under warranty still).

I know a good lesson - Never run a BMW outside warranty
