I've conducted a forum seach for a voice command that would select my sat radio to no avail

Does anyone know if and when this voice ommand will be made available?

 

Good question. I was wondering the same thing. I hope they have an update for it soon.

 

I've tried all sorts of things ("Satellite", "Sirius", "Sat") but none work. I, too, would love to see this added.

 

It would be nice to have the voice command....but in the meantime I assume you can use the steering wheel button to toggle through the sources

 

You are correct, you can use the steering wheel button to toggle through your pre-set channels.

 

Interesting how the steering wheel toggle is not intuitive ...

The top menu goes fm-am-wb-cd-sat but the toggle goes fm-am-wb-sat-cd!

Overall, everything works on the 05s but little things like no voice recognition (for satellite) and the stupid order on the toggle show that BMW still has some work to do.

Who else would love to disable AM and WB for the toggle? I am constantly hitting the toggle 3 times fast to not have scratchy AM or WB (which sounds like AM) scream through my stereo.

Am I the only one that thinks Idrive is great except that it should be faster and more complicated? I shutter to think how good this will be 5 years down the line and how I'll be selling my car just to get a better computer in it.
