Sat. Prep with Nav
I went to see my dealer today since I just got my invoice. I noticed the invoice still showed Sat prep. I asked if BMW would cut me check since I paid for it and it is not installed in the car. He explained to me that if it was on the invoice then I for sure had it.
I ask this. Is there anyone out there with the Sat radio working and if they know where the wires are, or what they look like? (Perhaps a picture, so I can look) I am going to call a dealership in the US and have them look up my VIN to confirm this. If it is true then there is still hope for Sat. Radio.
I have looked around on the internet and there is hope for Europe. The Sat radio company is trying to secure the license to start broadcasting over Europe.

I spoke with Leith BMW in Raleigh, NC. They looked up my VIN an dsure enough it came with Sat. Prep
He also told me the actual parts for it were not available until Nov 04 from BMW.
It looks like BMW is finally figuring out their problems.

FWIW, my US 545 was built the week of March 8, and I have Sat Prep (option 693) listed on the Monroney sticker but at $0.00. My lease price was figured with the $75 charge in it, so I need to take that up with my dealer. I think that after some date, either BMW stopped doing the SatPrep in cars with ProNAV or that the SatPrep became standard equipment in NAV cars.
