My Sat Nav does not know my location. I seems that it is not receiving a GPS signal. Has anyone experienced this before?

I have a software problem with my car right now (iDrive is down) and I'm waiting for a software fix. In that software fix, I've been told there is something to fix Sat Nav when it doesn't know your location. Not sure if this is your problem (or you're only driving in tunnels ) but it could be.

My nav did that the second day I had it. It kept showing North is South and I was driving through Lake Mead in Nevada. CIP 21 software addresses this issue I have not gone to get the software update yet because my dealer does not have that version yet.

After two days the Nav will correct itself and you will be ok for a while it has happned to me twice for about 5 days total.
