My Ride: 2007 550i Titanium Grey Metallic - 6 Speed Manual, Sport Suspension, Premium, Cold Weather, Navigation, Shades, L7 Sound
Space Grey...
The more track days the more I felt or understood the sheer size/legth of my car was interfering with the type of driving /performance on the track. The 550i performance is phenomenal on the track and talk about luxury but when it comes down to it buying an additional car for track days would be too expensive. Stripping the 550i to be 100% or even partial daily driver or track would just ruin the car. The power is awesome and the comfort is top notch.... As well as really wanting all the new gadgets... so that's how it went down. That M3 is awesome! but it is NOT a 5 series luxury performance car ... it is a luxury sports car.. PURE. I took a taste and I don't think I will go back for awhile.
I don't think the new 5series is really a track-able car now. Way to heavy and long. I am not an expert.. just opinion- Not to state the obvious but the m3 is almost as heavy as my 550i- I think the actual length effects the physics of it all.
Not to say the performance has been watered down on the F10... actually the complete opposite. But the 5 series now is almost too luxurious ...... aaaa maybe i just needed a change
One thing you have to decide though ... can you deal with the size of the cabin... my 550 was like ... bigger than my first apartment... huge!!!!! Like startrek space ship big and powerful like a jet engine
Maybe one regret... I had to give up my "baller status" .... what status do I get now with the M3?
