This is what BMW did wrong... They developed the E60 and then at the last minute some executive at Dunlop played golf with some executive at BMW and they bought a load of Runflats without actually tuning the suspension for the car...

Exactly why I just had the local BMW-recommended tire guys replace it. Sure I could have got it a little cheaper but my time is worth something. Besides my office pays for it anyways.
It sure was nice to say, jee I have a flat tire, I'll have to get that taken care of, and just keep driving
I am a believer in the principle behind runflats if not the execution.

that is cheepfor 19" RFT, In HK that price would be Sh*ty tyres for 19".

And you know Dunlop makes golf equipment too. The BMW exec should have been suspicious when the covers kept peeling off the Dunlop golf balls. I guess business all comes down to a round of golf and some beer. Then the contract gets whipped out on the 19th hole and the next year of BMW production has Dunlop tires mounted on every car.
