There's very little RF bashing in this thread, just owners and former owners posting their experience and suggestions... Each of makes our own decision based on what is important. Some may be happy with RF's, personally I was not. Some may prefer the convenience, personally I am willing to trade that for increased performance. I can certainly understand why others may think different.

Its interesting that my 08 535i came without run-flats while the OPs car came with run-flats. I guess BMW can't make up their mine. As to your question you should probably return it with whatever came on it.

whats worse is that my 08 550 came with summer tires which absolutely suck ass in snow and cold weather. so try that.. lol.. run flats would have been nicer (even though i took those suckers off anyway)

It's not like you can cruise at autobahn speeds in the US - if we could, I'd stick with the runflats.
+2. Steve is right. Get those suckers off your ride, store 'em, use the good stuff in the meanwhile then bolt on those RFTs just prior to lease turn in.

My 08 535i came with the run flats because it had the sport package. I found a local tire shop that gets tires from wrecks; almost brand new. A replacement cost me $88 Thanks for the replies.

Glad it worked out. I have a complete set of OEM Dunlops in my garage (used only 1,500 miles). If you're interested, I'd be willing to sell at a discount.
