rps jumpy by about 3-400 rpms after rebuild and full reset
ok so I've scoured the forum boards for a solution and I'm at a loss.
i have an 06 530i,
about a month ago i had my transmission rebuilt by a reputable shop. and about a week later the rpms began to be jumpy (by about 3-400 rpms) while trying to maintain a certain speed without cruise control.
took it back to the mechanic who did the work, he did a "hard resst" on the trans w the plug in computer, and it worked fine for about a week then back to the same issue again.
at this point I'm close to being heated bc i dropped 3500 and its just not right, acceleration doesn't even feel the same, but if the car is in cruise control on the highway theres no issues.
any and all insights are greatly appreciated, I'm supposed to drop it back off Thursday to have it looked over again and would like to make some recommendations if i can.
thanks again.

Why did you have your transmission rebuilt. How many miles do you have the car? Doing a reset will not solve the problem they are going to have to fix what they did wrong. Check the fluid levels because it was probably done incorrectly

Yeah what he said and hopefully you got a BMW Specialist to do it.

Also how many miles have you put on the car since the reset of adaptions. It takes around 250 to do a complete relearn. Doing a rebuild requires a complete relearn which is a long list of steps which I'm sure was not done.
Also what type of fluid was used. If it wasn't ZF lifeguard then that's another thing that's wrong. Make sure you ask what fill procedure was done. Something like fill the transmission then turn car on and shift through the manual gears wait until transmission is at 30c then fill. Once the trans gets to 45c let cool and start the fill procedure again until fluid comes out of the fill hole. I'm sure I got the temps wrong but I know it's close.
This is an easy fix if things were done properly. I'm still can't see why or how the transmission needed to be rebuilt. These transmissions are near bullet proof

Please respond to all questions to get help ie. Was the proper fluid fill procedure done? What type of fluid was used? I'm assuming the proper breaking procedure was done if the transmission was cracked open.
I've done plenty of transmission fixes and trying to get an understanding of what was actually dome
