rpm redline moves?

My Ride: 525i - titanium silver - sport package - premium package - bi-xeon -

in these two pics you can see the little white thing move up and down after turning on and off the car...what is it?

It's the electronic rev-limiter. The limit increases as your engine temperature increases... It's to better protect the engine whilst it's cold

oh... yeah i find somethin new bout this car everyday i swear... stupid salesman didnt explain much bout anything ... i knew more bout the car then he did

Have you noticed the cruise control marker too?

On my 525d the white marker stays about 4500rpm all the time even after a long drive.

It will never disappear completely for the diesels. About 4600rpm is the "yellow line" for the 530d (and 525d as well I think)

Thinking about it your right... But it definitely starts lower, about 3900rpm and moves upwards to about 4500rpm? I'm too busy looking at the road
