The BMW logo (roundel) fell off my key fob. I've searched and see that some people have gotten replacements under warranty. Just checking to see if anyone in the UK managed to get one or where else can I find one. I've seen loads of keychains sold on eBay, has anyone found one where the roundel is the correct size that I can pull out and paste on my key?

hey bruce, as u said. this should be covered under warrantee.just go to the SA and he should handle it. or else, check realoem.com.maybe over there u can find dimension and serial in case u wanna order one.

hope everything works out for u.

in worst case scenario, just use ur spare key

Do you mean the actual key itself Bruce, or the leather bit on the keyring?

If the leather bit, I think thats a hard stretch to call it a warranty part......

Why not just ask the dealer next time you are in for a service, or passing, for another? Likely you will get it for nothing or it will set you back ?5.

I have one of those Start Button style key fobs. There is no leather part, the roundel is on the Lock button on the 3 button fob.

Excellent question...

Mine fell off too. Let me know if it works. Otherwise I'll ask my dealership next time I'm in. Hopefully they have them around. It just doesn't look right without the roundel.

fingers-crossed,

I had a same problem.
Mentioned to Dearer at the time of warranty work & they replaced with a new small logo on my original fob.
FOC!

This is happening to others (me included). My SA told me the little Roundel is not available separately and I've not pressed the issue to have a new key fob to replace mine. However, I did buy leather key fob covers on ebay to protect them both.

Read about this a lot on the E90's (same fob) but never happened, but it did just happen to my E60 one. Luckily I didnt lose the roudel, so I glued it back on. I read many getting the entire fob replaced, which is crazy, because its about $150 to replace if you got charged. Maybe BMW wised up.
