About a month ago I started looking for a replacement vehicle for my wife. Her lease was up on her 07 G35 and she had been talking about wanting a 5 series. So I'm one of those husbands that says "what my wife wants, she gets." The great thing is that she deserves it and appreciates our blessed life as much as I do. It's a great thing!!
But I digress...
I had posted on here some question on a deal I was working on. I got great feedback (thanks everyone!) and finally pulled the trigger. I bought her a 2008 535i, auto (cause it is her DD), sport package, nav etc. The only thing she didn't "like" was that it did not come with the comfort package. The Infinity was keyless and she really liked that. Small price to pay for the upgrade in vehicle so ultimately she is fine with it!!
I say we got off to a rough start because 2 days after I brought it home I got the half power light and message to take it to the dealer. Bummer!! I did my homework before the purchase and we had not turned in her G35 so although it was a pain, things could have been worse. I took it in and after 2 weeks and a lot of back and forth with BMWNA they ended up replacing the low pressure fuel sensor and one of the injectors. My SA was great and they went above and beyond to make sure everything worked great when we picked it up. Evan at Desert BMW is now my go to guy!! Since all that was done the car has been a joy! It's a CPO car so we have the extended warranty to fall back on if anything else goes wrong.
The crazy thing is that while it was in the shop I managed to total the loaner they gave us. A little old lady turned left in front of me and even though I took evasive action I could not avoid her. I am sure her car was totaled too but the good news is no one got hurt. BMW Assist was great and everything was taken care of by the insurance companies. At the time I owned an 09 Mini Cooper JCW. I love the car but the accident really made me rethink my daily driver. It would be a great weekend car and I hope to get another one someday but I traded it in for a 2007 335i. So that's why I say new owner X2. Two new cars in a month is a little crazy but I am extremely happy with my decision.
Mine is manual, sport, premium, nav, comfort access etc. Love it!! Already debaged and painted the kidney grills black. A couple issues with that one out of the gate but once again BMW took care of everything!!
Anyway, sorry for the long introduction. I hope to be active here and give back like you have given me.
Here are a few obligatory pictures:

LOL! I prefer small and sporty. The 335 is the coupe with manual and I really love it! So much fun to drive! Besides, I can always drive the 5 on the weekends. Best of both worlds! Thanks for the compliments!!

Awesome! Thats so cool for both of you!
I wish my husband would say "what the wife wants she gets"... sigh, why is a man jealous of a car?
