Hi Lads,
I've a 2007 e60 5series 520d Auto, and only the last 6 months on very cold mornings especially, when I hit the push button to start the car, the Rev counter will move erratic up and down for about 10 seconds and run rough vibrating, and lately now she has started to cut out.
any ideas what could be causing this?
This car hasn't given an ounce of bother in 9 years. Full serviced with main dealer since she was out of the box.

You probably should hook it up to a computer (INPA) to see what the codes are saying. Are you getting a check engine light? Your issue can be many things so the codes will narrow it down. If the car is cutting out there is sure to be something in the logs.
