Good afternoon... first time posting, long time reader. Have had an '05 545i for about a year now.
Problem that has crept up lately. Car has 44k on it, still under warranty/maintenance. When engine is cold and typically cold weather out, less than 40 F, car starts fine. When you start to drive the car, lets say pull out of a parking spot and roll about 100 yds to a stop light, car has very rough idle, pretty violent shaking felt inside, almost sputtering type. Lasts only briefly and goes away after driving for a few minutes. Car was at BMW service with the issue, they said it had a low idle and they moved the idle up a little and thought that would cure the issue, but it hasn't.
Any thoughts on what may cause this? Been a few weeks since it has started... so its not a tank of gas, that was first thought, but have had numerous fillups since then. Car is up to date on service.. obviously still serviced at BMW. 3k to go till next oil change.
Thanks in advance for any input/advice.
