moschse,

Rips my heart, I'm so sorry.

New wheels.
Yeah - I'm trying to use this to justify new rims to the wife.

If it makes you feel any better, I got a flat tire 2 days ago. Upon further inspection I found that the tire was fine and that the problem occured because the rim was cracked. I just received the replacement rim today (THANKS GARRY!) and will have it fixed Monday morning. Stupid potholes!! Boooo

Sergio - Give George at NYRIMFIX a call. He knows me. I sent both, Kerry (poleposition) and Dave (pennetta) to George. Both had their doubts. Both couldn't believe the outcome. It's like it never happened. I believe it's around $100 or $125. He'll come right to your office or your house.

/C

PS - You should get new wheels also.

No one feels better to hear that you have had double trouble

I feel twice the sorry.

Fact is that the 525i/d - 550i's are still equipped with 17" wheels and 225/50 RF tires as OEM in EU.

For a good reason, it seems.

WHOA! Was there any curb left???
OMG, I almost peed my pants when I read the above line. NOW THAT IS FUNNY.

Alas I curbed a wheel on my M5, exactly 21 hours after picking it up from the dealer. Never did that in the 550 with Active Steering. Of course what I consider curbing a wheel and what moschse considers curbing a wheel are two different things

Now will nyrimfix come to Chicago?

Try C's Bimmer rim repair guy - these shops are good at repair and refinishing original equipment wheels to good as new.
