My iDrive is giving me an error notification telling me that I have a "Right front parking light malfunction". I checked it and its working.! But I decided to replace it anyway and I'm still getting the same error message. Has anyone else had this problem???
I want to install my AIB's but I'm concerned that if I do, they might blame the error code on that.....

There are more than one "Right front parking" on a US E60 model.
Be also sure that the replacement lamp has the right amps and watts.

I once wondered some time about my left (or was it right) brake lamp error notification in my '01 E39.
It was the rear window (middle) brake lamp that was broken

I had a similar problem a while back, dealer replaced the bulb, and yet still had the error message. Of course then they want to schedule an appointment for me to bring the car back in....yeah right! So I went home, took out the bulb and cleaned the contacts in the socket, and VOIL?! no error message! I'd try that before I did anything else! Good Luck with it!

thanks for the input guys... So I decided to take my car to McKenna BMW today, and they told me that it was actually my rt front halo that was giving me the error code.(I got these halos from a vendor who is no longer selling on this site. They were crappy anyway!) And I bought AIB V3's from myfootsmells, so I'm gonna install them tonight....

That's sometimes all it needs, but usually not on new cars.
