i blew my run flat out... did not know it. The warning light was on because it was already low... then I noticed it said TIRE FLAT.. instead of TIRE LOW. I have seen TIRE FLAT before when I had a bolt in my tire tread. At that time... it was not flat, just low. Anyway... I did drive a little bit with it totally flat.... Zero psi.. it looked like it was just 7 psi low. Crazy. I took my rear wheels off so the shop could put on new tires and I noticed a slight crack in wheel, exactly where the cut was on the inside side wall.

The wheel repair shop has lifetime warranties on any weld areas. The weld area, if done properly, is just as strong. So do not be afraid getting a cracked wheel fixed. If you buy a used wheel, you have no clue of its history and it might have had several repairs. It is hard to find a brand new older wheel and if you do, it was probably refurbed anyway.
