go with 20's!!! its a bit more rough, but the right tire can help! with my 20" set-up it feels more like an m3 in terms of ride

thinking of going to 20" down the line myself when I'm bored with my 19". Those new 20" VB3 do look tempting.
I think 19s are perfect, look good, and drive well, mat blk VB3

You will notice a difference but nothing major imo. You just have to be more cautious of pot holes. Thinking about putting my 18's on before I visit my sister in New York. Besides ride quality it looks better with 19's.

i went from 124 to 166 wheels. the ride is nice and handling is more precise. however, the 166 wheels will crack easy. i had 3 cracks fixed earlier this year, and now notice i have more cracks in my rear wheels. the inner rim bead lip on these rims are fragile in my opinion. none of the cracks leaked air. no visible dents on any of the cracks.

Agree with Racerboss there, plus size tires will definitely keep the comfort level stock. Been running it past few months and both the wife and kid love it when they're back there.

That brings me to the next piece of the dilemma strength of 166s.

I am probably going to just go with the 219s.

I like the gunmetal and they can be had at a decent price with TPMS and tires.

Seems like lots of people run 166 without problem, except for Turboawd , so I doubt you would encounter that much problem, especially in the Bay Area since our roads are pretty decent.

GL either way.

I went from stock 18's to 19's and didn't notice much of a hit in ride quality. I'll try to pay attention when putting the old rims back on for a couple winter months but every day driving is fine.

I have the stock sport suspension. If I carry more than one passenger I will rub when going over large "divits" in the road (over bridges, etc). It's not bad but I noticed it a lot when driving through Ohio with my wife and her sister in the car. You will likely want to roll your fenders if you go to 20's.
