reseting auto Gearbox behaviour

2004 545i se auto 75k miles

Just done the gearbox oil change , done according to ZF instructions

Now it snatches on down change from second to first

How do you reset the gearbox learned behaviour to defaults?

A bunch of people will probably tell you to do the mythical procedure of holding the accelerator down for 30 seconds with the ignition on but sadly, all that does is fool your car into thinking you have been driving aggressively and any results disappear in about a day. The only real way to do it is within the computer. What your looking for is to have the adaptation values reset the dealer will do it or you can venture into it yourself with a laptop and the right cable. I suggest dealer because there is a software update that addresses this problem and if I remember right it is called the "tip in" update, or something like that.

Yes , through INPA I reset the adaption and all is well, one very silky gearbox once again
