Reset the Oil Service Indicatior Change?

i told them that and they assured me the battery cable had nothing to do with it. i think it might of sent a glitch into the ECU or something. well i am taking it in next tuesday for them to do a diagnostic on it.

i have a friend (bmw indy mechanic) who says he can reset it with his computer, but he's damn hard to get a hold of (again).

just did my oil and brake fluid resets no problems, I did not reset trip odometer I did not put my seatbelt on just shut the door, put the key in turned it to position 2, set the staulk button to the date, held the button where the gauges are then cycled through to what needed to be reset, once I got there I held the button down again, it asked to reset, then held the button down again, and it reset!

yes that's exactly how i did it before. and also how my indy mechanic did it. but it doesn't work now.

ok i was able to reset the cabin microfilter interval (just for grins) and it was easy as pie to reset. but the oil interval still doesn't want to reset. argh!
