My Ride: 2007 BMW 530Xi touring
Silver Grey Met / Black Dakota Leather
I tried the exact same procedure as from the manual several times, and mine would not reset ither, till I CLOSED the door, and then worked perfectly.

I had all the doors closed every time I tried. What manual? The owners manual? I have been following various procedures I found on the internet.

i must be doing something wrong. i had all doors closed, removed key and re-inserted it as required, had the date showing, cleared the trip odometer. it still ain't resetting the oil service indicator though.
