Replacement turbo not boosting till 3000rpm+
Hi everyone,
I have a 2004 bmw e60 530d, with 164k on the clock and I believe to have previously been remapped to a stage 1.
My turbo recently failed and as a result I have replaced it. My issue is, now I have the car back from my mechanic with new turbo (and a full service) , there seems to be a delay with the turbo kicking in.
Previously it was very responsive when working through the gears and even in first gear the turbo boost would kick in around 2-2500rpm. Now it’s more like 3-3500rpm before it kicks in.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Could it be anything to do with previous remap?
Any help would be amazing. Thank you
