I have an '08 550i with the MTech / MSport bumper (OEM), My foglights are pretty chipped up and honestly never use them. I'd like to remove the assembly and replace it with a blank. Like the M5 models. Is this possible?

I plan to wire a resistor or leave a bulb plugged in to avoid the CANBUS error.

 

I am also interested in doing the same so am curious to hear any solutions?

 

The M5 doesn't have blanks, those are massive cooling ducts for the brakes.
You could always get an aftermarket M5 bumper if you to delete the fogs, or an oem one but then you'll need new fenders too.
