Removed my battery cables from the battery for about 30 minutes. Wanted to see if would help with my idrive that keeps rebooting. I reconnected the cables back to the battery, when to start the car to see if help with rebooting problem ( it didnt do anything to improve it) I noticed that ABS, Traction Control, Check Engine, and brake idiot lights were on. This happened when i was checking the fuses but, when i shut off the car and restarted it they went away. This time they did not, and i went to check to see if the traction control was truly off and it was.
Does anyone have any idea what may be going on?![Please](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/please.gif)
any help would save my sanity.,,
Thanks

This happened to me when the battery died. Do you have an android or iphone? If so, this app is a REALLY good investment.
BMWhat-BMW diagnosis
It actually reads ALL BMW fault codes as opposed to some cheaper apps (Torque) which can only read engine fault codes. You can also use it to reset all the codes. It pays for itself the first time you use it.
You will also need a bluetooth OBD2 adapter
MINI ELM327 Bluetooth OBD2 V1.5

No, I don't think you can do anything aside from going to the dealership or going to an indy shop. They will need to use a BMW scanning tool to reset them for you since these are DTC fault codes.
I actually don't think that either can "legally" just turn off the lights without fixing the problem, which doesn't really exist. Regardless, they will charge you, maybe even in excess of what the two above cost. I would just wait. I used the tools above and it cleared 28 fault codes after my battery was re-charged and the best part is I would have paid almost the same amount for the indy shop to clear them. Now I can use it whenever I need to.
