Hey guys,
New member here who recently purchased a titanium grey 530i (Sport, Premium, Nav, PDC, Cold Weather, Xenon, etc.). I would like to know if it's possible to disable the haptic feedback on the iDrive controller. Admittedly it can be good in certain situations, but I hate it when I'm scrolling through long lists of contacts and songs. Can I disable this through an easy mod or can I retrofit an 2008 (LCI) controller? I've already ran through the search function with the site and couldn't find a suitable thread.
Also, I'm looking for a decent body shop in the Bay Area to install and paint an OEM Mtech kit. Any one have any suggestions? And for that matter, any one know of any decent BMW after-market mods shops in the area?
Thanks!

Out of curiosity, why wouldn't the retrofit work? I'm not looking to replace the shift box, but just the iDrive knob and underlying unit. It looks like the parts will fit, but one would lose the Voice Command button on the console to the bigger Menu button.
