Well Goodyear GS D3's fitted today.
Considerable difference to the RE0505 RFT's. It has not affected the feel of the road surface to the driver, but the feedback through steering and suspension is smoothed rather than jarring.
The tyres work better through bends as well, the RFT's were skittish and hopped off imperfections around bends, the GS D3's seems to stay in contact with the road better. Gives a much more secure feel.
Now let's see what the wear rate is, I've not had Goodyears on any car for some years as they always seemed to wear pretty quickly, hope these are better.

My car just came back with Dunlop again! It's made in 3105.
The ride (with new tires) is now quiet and comfortable, but I don't know for how long
it will keep like this quiet.
This is my 3rd set of Dunlop RFT. Any idea how long (or how many times)
BMW will keep changing tires for free?

My Ride: F11 520d white, auto, professional sat-nav with internet, variable damper control, sports steering wheel, extended lighting, retractable tow bar, wing mirrors with dimming & folding, full electric seats with memory & lumber adjustment, etc.
Keith keeps us posted on your goodyear tyres, Im fed up with the RF Dunlops all the sames issues you had.
Oh to be in America, BMW here dont changes parts so easily and Ive never heard of them replacing worn tyres even if they have a fault.

Very happy with the Goodyears.
A week and 800 miles on they are performing brilliantly.
Well worth considering.
