The windshield cracks from the driver's side with no external cause.
The 2nd set of Dunlop RFT got noisy again after 10k miles.

BMW agrees to replace them all for free.

You will probably get a set of Bridgestone RFT this time.

Are they any better than Dunlop?

New e60 come with Bridgestone RFT. Some people on the forum said the ride is not as comfortable as Dunlop when it's new, but overal it's better than Dunlop.

Bridgestone RFT's are rubish IMHO.
I have them on my 530D.

The ride is harsh, they bounce over the road, I hate them.

I am changing to Eagle F1 GS D3's tomorrow despite the Bridgestones only being half worn.

Would have gone for PS2's but cannot get them in 225/50 17's.

My e60 comes with Bridgestones RFT. I think they are okay. Maybe it's because I never try other tires on e60 before, so I can't compare them.

How many miles do you have with your Bridgestones

I'll report my comparison as soon as I get my car back tomorrow evening.

Good luck with the freebies. I am glad that your replacements are free.

15,000 on my Bridgestones, I have swapped them front to rear and would probably get another 10,000 out of them, but I cannot stand the poor ride quality and the tendancy to tramline and skip off road imperfections.
As most of the roads here in the UK are modelled on Eastern European Cart Tracks it gets wearing !
A full set of Goodyears will set me back a touch over ?500, if they make my car feel more like a ?38,000 car and less like a 1930 boneshaker bike I shall be well pleased.

BMWNA replaced my Dunflop Sport 9000 DSST runflats with Bridgestone Potenza RE050 runflats. I like them just fine. See reviews of both tires here:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...l=Potenza+RE050

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...Sport+9000+DSST

I think (and agree with the reviews) that the Bridgetone ride is better than that of the Dunflops, but that non runflats would probably ride better then either.
