Mine is resolved....right rear bearing was toast according to my SA. Drone noise is now gone

Still can't believe a wheel bearing failed at 75k miles. Can spacers put extra stress on wheel bearings?

John, keep us posted....hopefully yours will get resolved as well

Default wheel bearing bad tires and intermittent vibration

Ah ha! Bad wheel bearing too, 2006 E61 530 XIT 78,000km.

I had a shaking vibration like a bad tire belt or a tire out of balance. But it would go away after 5-10 minutes of driving. Tires did have a sidewall bulge so was pretty confident new tires would fix it. Nope.

Eventually the vibration would not stop after a few minutes...then last week a noise could be heard from the back of the car like a belt separation. So finally bad enough to be able to pin down. Bad left rear bearing.

Now if I only I could teach a mechanic to read the tire pressure label on the door jamb.
