rear suspenion

hi people

looking for some help,had car in for national car test

and it failed on rear suspenion arm,so i changed the arm they said it was

and bingo its still the same so i thought it was the wishbone bottom ball jiont chaned that

still the same problem is when u jack up the wheel it rocks from top to bottom more bottom

pulling my hair out at this stage , whats left of it

well thanks for any help

would the wheel not rock top and bottom or side to side if it was bearing???

It would rock on both directions.

You can also check if it's the wheel bearing by asking someone to press the brake pedal while you shake the wheel. If the backlash disappears when pressing the brake, it's defnitely the wheel bearing.

its really only bottom movment ???

A bad wheel bearing should be noisy when driving. Sounds like a ball joint or suspension link.

+1, If it is the wheel bearing you will have grinding noise when runnning. Plus, if it come to a point that you can rock your wheel at any direction, your wheel along with the axle is bound to come out, very dangerous at this point.
