whenever i go over a bump or uneven road, i hear some slight creaking noise from the backseat, like some plastic is a bit loose or out of place or uncliped. I cant quite figure out where its coming from, im starting to think its from the rear arm rest thats between the seats that you pull down.
No quite sure, its extremely annoying since im a very picky person.its driving me crazy.
Has anyone encountered this? Surely someone has.

creaks and rattling are a common complaint/issue...you'll see a lot of threads on it..could be anything from a bad shock to a faulty door or window seal.
For me..it was the plastic clips of the rear parcel shelf that connect to the rear defroster unit...the tech had to wrap the clips with the velco to soften the rattle noise...some members have placed some felt material behind their rear seats to get rid of the noise...
GL buddy
***I was able to find/suggest the fix to my problem via searching thru threads here..as always...e60.net came thru and provided the knowledge before the service dept could

I had the same problem and thought it was coming from the seat. Well first there was something loose in the cup holder and the dealer had to glue it in place. Then I figured out when I lower the rear windows just a little the sound is gone. So the dealer replaced the seals. Very quite now.

The source of the sound could be deceiving too. As you can't be in the back seat and driving, and anyone in the backseat would change the dynamics, and the sound might not be present.
For me, I thought it was the back seat as well, but it turned out to be the plastic backs of the front seats. Mine are the newer articulating backs, (not sure if yours had that then), but where the two pieces overlap each other for the articulation, was the source of the creak over bumps.
