Yesterday, when I put my car into reverse, the back up noise came on instantly as a
continuous tone and the screed showed a solid red "object behind me. There was nothing there. It has continued to do this every time I put the car in reverse.

Yesterday was my cars first day below freezing in its short life. Maybe some ice went somewhere it doesn't belong. Does anyone know where the sensor is in the rear? has anyone experienced this problem?

I've had this problem before and you're absolutely correct that it was ice. Each time it's happened to me, it was after going through a car wash during the winter. It didn't happen every time I washed the car, but it didn't stop beeping until I was able to park the car indoors and let it thaw out.

Hopefully that's what you'll find is wrong with your car...

The little circles on your bumper represent the PDC sensors.

Is the *entire* area affected, or does it look like it's just one "area", as if it were a post or tree? If so, one of the sensors may be obstructed or malfunctioning.

I've had an occasional issue like this when it was wet in the morning, but above freezing. As soon as I had driven for a few minutes, i checked it and it was fine.

Doesnt solid tone from the beginning also mean there can be a problem? Defective PDC detected?

You'll missing all the fun...

Have you ever seen snow (I do not mean your in icebox) or driven on a snowy road?

You would learn so much more about your fine car!
