Has anyone else noticed moister inside the window, when i got off from work today 40 degress here in Va i had moister across the bottom of the window on the inside. Now the windows were closed and i did not have on any heat today or ac. I wiped the window with a rag and it was literally wet enough to ring out the rag. I will see if the same thing happens in the morning but i just thought it to be strange.

Make sure you have "Auto" climate control on, and you'll never have moisture problem in your car.

You will get very noticable moisture if you normally drive with the AC on an they you turn it off - particularly if its cool / rainy out. The AC system has to "dry out" before it goes away and the only place for the moisture to go is into the car. I don't usually use the AC but still get a bit of condensation on the windscreen - a quick blast from the defogger clears it up quickly though.

Take the advice of "my530i" and always keep the climate control set to auto. One more thing to do is leave the fresh air/recirculate switch set to auto as well.

If you're too warm, dial down the temp knob and if you're too cold, dial it up. That's all you ever need to do -- you shouldn't have any fogging or condensation problems unless something is wet inside the car...

I had that happen once when the car was like 2 weeks old... No idea what caused it but like you said the windshield was literally WET! Not just moist. it was crazy. But it never happend again. and I dont use auto setting all the time either. I dont like having the AC compressor run all the time... I havent change my habbits with the AC settings and the WET windshield hasnt return since... Weird...

At carwashes they spray the wather allover and also in to the cabing airtake (under the windscreen wipers). This could also happen in very hard rain (or snowing ) when the car is parked.

Then the airfilters (there are two of them) will be soaked and some moisture will come in with the air.

As our "Innocent Rudy" pointed out, using A/C all the time the disadvantage will be minimized.

And on that note, I think it's time to retire our innocent little old man...

The last few weeks as its gotten colder, I've had a problem with my interior windshield fogging up after I start the car. I have the A/C on and set to auto. Thoughts?
