about 3 months ago one of my rear PDC sensors would detect an object as being VERY close and display a full bar on the idrive screen going right down to the RED area on the display. at the same time the sensors either side of it showed nothing.

took the car in and that sensor had logged a fault. dealer ordered a new ready painted sensor and that was fitted about 3 months ago like i said.

today exact same sensor is up to its old tricks, now OK its only done it once so it could be a one off..no need to go to dealer yet, but it seems very odd to me that the same sensor again could be faulty.

reason for post was i wondered anyone else had similar issue with any PDC sensors? I had PDC on my E46 coupe and never had a single fault with any of the sensors in 4yrs of ownership.

if my e60 has just bust another sensor that will be two in less than a year....not very impressed with the E60 today

A front one was "stuck" on my car a couple of times. It happened just after I waxed the car so I thought maybe I got some wax in the wrong spot or something. Also was raining very hard so possibly some water on it. Usually no problems but planning to ask when/if I take the car in for Software U/G.
