So I didn't dream it then...

Thanks for the info!
I'm not 100% sure that is what BMW does, or in what markets.. but it would make sense.

The Japanes have a Yen for quality, but it's the same quality car in Japan as it is for the rest of the world.
Well, whatever...porsche gets points for his pun, which has so far gone unremarked...

Rudy - You are a true dorky professor! If I were in your class, I'd throw spit balls at you.

They say that Japanese version of BMW 5er E60 better than Germany version...The quality and reliability. IS that really correct!!?
Also , was wondering where is built Japanese BMW 5er E60 ? in Germany or in Japan?
And lastly what's the difference between Japanese and Germany version (E60) ? Which one is better indeed?

Please give me competent suggestions.

Thanks in advance!
I think I know what you're talking about. Are you referring to the YANASE version of BMW? For the re-export (from Japan) I think they are just models that have a higher options-spec, as well as AT-transmission only, an option that isn't too popular with non-US versions. But generally-speaking Japanese (YANASE) versions are the same as made-in-Germany variants. The BS about being better really is a marketing ploy for whoever is importing these cars into your market to make extra money, I think.
I do not know the origins of the YANASE variant (usually with the yellow and blue decal on the rear windshield). You may want to find out more.

Oh C, I pity the teachers who had to teach you in their classes. (Not that mine were any luckier to get me in their class).

I think you'll get a much better response if you post this question as a new topic instead of burying it in this thread.

Please go ahead and repost this as it's own topic so you can hopefully get an answer to your question if, in fact, that's what your overall goal is...

Pretty sad that we have to try and figure out whether questions are legit or not.
