It's possible, but if the car is starting OK and running, then the alternator is working sufficiently well to charge the battery back up for the next start. It could be short in the wiring? Can you pull out the light(s) that is flickering and check the connection?

It's probably normal. At high RPM's the alternator provides maximum power to the engine. Since there is no load on the engine, the engine doesn't need the power and the energy is diverted back to the battery. The electrons are faster than your foot. I suspect if you could get on and off the throttle fast enough you would not see the lights flicker.
