My driver's side window creaks constantly when I drive. I heard the rumors, but I had not heard the creaks on my car, because I have L7 on constantly. Today with an employee in the car, I turned off Logic 7 so we could talk about the project. My driver's side window was incredibly creaky. I just picked up the car last Friday after the 11,000 mile service was complete. While in service, I called back and asked the service manager to check for creaks and squeaks, because I just heard the rumors. The took it for a test drive to check for them. Service Manager told me they did not anything and that the car was normal. Normal, must mean it is normal to be creaky. I love my 545 and everything about it, except the creaking driver's side window. What is the best fix for a creaky drivers side window?

My old O4 E60 SE had no rattles but my Jan. 05 build E60 Sport had creaks from parcel shelf area which turned out to be the grille at base of rear screen. New grille was fitted and now perfect.

To replace the grill is it necessary to remove the seatback or the parcel shelf? Is it a major undertaking, or something that the dealer won't groan about doing?

Another question: did it eliminate the rattle that seems to emanate from the parcel shelf area when going over bumps such as freeway expansion joints?

Go for a ride first. Then when they tell you nothing is wrong or it's normal, pull out the Bulliten.

I am ready to tear my hair out.
All door seals have been replaced and foam had been inserted under the parcel shelf. Still creaking and chirping.
I have inserted cardboard where the grille on the parcel shelf meets the rear windscreen and where the parcel shelf meets the rear seats.
Still creaking and chirping.
I have tried driving with the rear door unlatched, not only is the original creak still there but others can also be heard.

Car is going in for 17.1 and for the dealer to try and sort out the creaking.
