My drivers seat creaks from lower part of backrest - most noticeable when setting off i.e. when acceleration causes ones back to push against backrest. Also armrest a bit creaky. I personally think the standard E60 seats are the worst aspect of the car as I find it impossible to get comfortable without having to recline the seatback far further backwards than I have done on other cars including 9 previous new BM's of various types.

Those with rear seat rattles, any of you have fold down rear seats?

 

My comfort seats sometimes rattles maybe its the wiring in them for the fans??? With the hot weather, my seats squeak especially when the side bolsters move when I start the car up.

Has anyone realised on their E60 that the BMW letters in the rear door scuff plates are loose? They don't fall off but are slightly loose/moveable compared to the front scuff plates. Maybe its just my car. This may possibly be a cause for some noise in the rear of the car.

 

My seat is squeaking at the moment too.

 

maybe silly suggestion but have you tried spraying silicon fluid under the seat on the springs - cured it in my e46 m3
