I heve seen a lot of threads regarding rattle.

Mine are in case of torsion of the car on uneaven roads.

They are comming from the back. I check the central arm rest (open or closed): nothing.
I checked the sky bag: nothing.
I folded the right rea seat forward: nothing.
When taping the rear parcel: no vibrations.

Where can it come from? I have already the new door sealing (prodcution mid feb 05).

AS somebody succeded to fix it?
My dealer fixed the proble
I a had split forward seats
they foud the latch of the seats were hiting against bare metal
They added rubber hinges or sttopers and fixed the noise
It took one week to figure it out
had to uses microphones and special headphones to isolate the origen of the noise
also I drove the car with the head mechanic in the trunk

Two months later no noise no rattle
Hope above helps you and dealer

Rear window and rear passenger window sunshades. My right rear passenger window sunshade makes a rattle over bigger bumps.

I finally found where my rattle comes from.

It's from third stoplight (LEDs on the roof area). You can check by pressing black area (part of stoplight assembly) from inside the car to see if you can reproduce the problem.

I just removed (pull hard downward) the cover (roof/interior color) and put a think layer of foam on this cover and put back. Problem solved!
Digging up an old thread, but this helped me fix my rattle this morning.
Luckily it wasn't related to the rear parcel shelf (which is difficult to remove from what I've read).

I removed the 3rd-stoplight module, added felt pads on several contact areas,
where it makes contact with the rear glass. I also added some felt pads between
the cover and the light module.

The felt pads I used can be found at your local Home Depot or Lowes.
I used dark-colored pads on the light module and light-colored on the cover.

They also come in various thickness.

My dad used to do that when he was foreman at pacific BMW. He used to do a lot of above and beyond crap. Guess thats why he was foreman and had a toolbox covered in employee appreciation magnets. Wish he kept some. They were pretty sweet looking. My kiddie shades also rattle. I just leave them up.
