So I was at a stoplight this evening, pulling out of the international plaza mall in tampa, fl. I was the first car at the light and next to me was a gray cts v with 2 guys in it. I looked over at their car and said to myself (out loud) wow a cts v. The driver then revved up the engine which was super loud. I revved mine but the I6 made about as much noise as a dead kitten. So the light turned green and we made our left turn and I decided okay lets punch this and see, maybe just maybe I can make my 530 look powerful (compared to the cts) Well he punched it too and... whipped me like ike whipped tina.

Moral of the story: I need an m5

At least the valet left my car upfront with a porsche. That was complementing.

The CTS-V still would have stomped you from a light even if you were rolling in a stock E60 M5.

Common sense should have prevailed ... i6 vs CTS-V ... like the saying, "Sometimes it's best to keep quiet and let people wonder if you're a fool, than to open your mouth and confirm it!"

+1. My 550 has been humbled from a stoplight by a Suburu STi. I wouldn't mess with a CTS-V unless I wanted to see just how faster than mine it was. That thing would humble an E63 from a stoplight as well.
