What did your buddy with the GT500 run?

 

Am i reading this right, 13.3 on a stock 545? I thought they were like 14. I have a 550i and didn't realize they were that fast.

Can you tell us what some other comparable cars ran? Maybe this drag strip is 50 yards shorter

 

Nice runs! I am hoping to get down to the track soon. I would be thrilled to see these numbers!!! Your 60' times are pretty good considering you were running snow tires! Probably due to the softer compound?

 

10.51@139 with a lazy 1.59 60ft. It usually gets 1.4x. My other buddy ran 9.66@142 with his GT500 I will toss a video link up after.

Definitely faster than a 14.0, I race often at the track and knew right off it was a 13 second car. Most all the times I see are for auto cars plus most people can't launch a standard well.
Haha. It's definitely not short. I can post up a slip of me running a stock new WRX. I ran a 13.4 to his 13.5 he had me until the 1/8th mile then I pulled by.

Thanks! They are soft but I really had to ease it off the line. I still spun some but hooked better than I expected. I want to try again with my summer tires.

I was kidding, not trying to discredit you in any way. Those are good times, just not used to seeing a 545i that fast.

I know this is an old post, but if OP is still here, what DSC settings did you use at the strip?
DTC enabled with DSC off? or everything off?

Just curious because I took my car to an 1/8th mile and didnt get anywhere near these numbers. But I didnt even try to burnout and just drove it without adjusting anything.
