Thumbs up

My windshield wipers are very erratic in the sensor mode. I find I usually have to make adjustments to get them to wipe the windshield unless I am travelling above 40 mph. In traffic, they seem to just do nothing. Is this a problem anyone else has had?

Yeah, lots of people. The rain sensor is quite unsatisfactory in a lot of people's opinion - I am not totally happy with it but I still use it.

I have to disagree. I'm totaly happy with my rainwiper sensor. It is the best I've experienced so far. Much better then VW has.

So far I have never used any other position or speed on my wiper switch, I only use the automatic sensor and it is doing great job.

I think they work fine. I'd love to make a more detailed 'delay' for light rains, but all in all, I'm pretty happy with them...

Also had a problem with the rain sensor in that it wouldnot increase in speed when the rain became heavy. The dealer readjusted the rain sensor thru the 16.2 software upgrade.now everything is fine with the rain sensor and the radio don't come on be its self. They had to change the TCU UNIT becaused it failed during the upgrade now when the car goes into the sleap mode and when you start the car up the next day the SOS malfunctions so they have to install another TCU UNIT because they feel it went bad again.
Sorry for high jacking your post
cheers

Completely agree. Rain sensor is wildly erratic and wipes in just the opposite of what needs to be done. It shuts completely off if you are stopped (and just how are you supposed to see traffic ahead), and then immediately goes full force once you start off & keeps that way for a bit, then dies completely down again. Thank god it doesn't work this way in my Range Rover. They seem to have gotten it right.
