My Ride: 2004 530i 6M

Every time I get in the car I can hear a faint "hissing" from the speakers in mute mode. I find it annoying. Can the radio be turned off, or does it only get muted?

As I recall, it only mutes. But I've never noticed a his before. Doesn't mean it's not there, but it is extremely rare that I mute...
