This is my third BMW, 2008 550i. The other 2 a 2001 X5 and a 2006 330. In both of my prrevious cars the radio could be turned on without the key. This car does not seem to have that feature. Can anyone confirm there car is the same?
Thanks,
Roger

I have comfort access. I unlocked the car and put the key in the house. Pressed the start button, got the key not available message. I pushed the radio volume knob on and the radio worked. Don't know if you need to push the start button. This sequence worked for me.

i do not have comfort access and the start button did not work. In my other cars the radio turned on with just a push of the power button. i will have to ask the dealer.
