Just curious, is it possible to listen to the radio/cd or play with the Idrive at all even if the key is not in the ignition? I looked in the manual but could not find any info on it.

Eric, do you know if it's also doable if you have Nav Pro?
When I upgraded to Nav Pro, this feature has been canceled. Since then, you need to turn the key in the 1st position in order to listen to the radio, but that's no comfortable at all, you know, leave the key on switch with kids into the car..

...or something is going wrong with mine?

The other thing you guys with the LCIs is that you can't listen to the radio very long before you're discharging the battery to low levels. I mean, like an hour or less at least in my case. Pretty disappointing. I read somewhere a rumor that new models are going to be supplied with 2 batteries (I don't remember if that means 2009, or the F10...). Lots of ongoing electrical use after the motor is shut down, I guess.
