Whenever I try to 'save' a station, it dissapears from my preset station list the moment the RDS text changes. All my favorite channels are 85.7 or somesuch Tried every which way, but can't save a station for the life of me. All the automatically found stations display 'LOCAL-something'. Anyone know if this is a known problem, or if I'm just not getting how it works?

From the manual:
Storing stations
1. Select "FM" or "AM" and press the controller.
2. Change into the second field from the top.
Turn the controller until the desired selection
criterion is selected and press the controller.
3. Select the desired frequency or station.
"Set" is selected.
4. Press the controller.
Other menu items are displayed.
5. Select "Store" and press the controller.
"Presets" is displayed.
6. Turn the controller until the desired memory
position is selected.
7. Press the controller.
The station is stored.

Also...
Stations are shown on the Control Display on
the basis of various selection criteria, e.g. "Presets".
If "Autostore" does not display any stations or if
the stations displayed can no longer be
received, to update the station with the strongest
signal

 

i.e., I am an idiot. In my defense, the guy that explained the radio to me didn't mention that last part, so I'm partly absolved I'd better start reading that manual...
